From the Principals Desk
Farewell Jason Wyeth: This week will be Deputy Principal Jason Wyeth’s last week at Kingaroy State School. He will be taking leave for Term 4 before retiring at the end of the year. Jason Wyeth has been our Deputy Principal for 15 years and employee of the Department for over 27 years. His service to our school and wider community has been immense. On behalf of all the staff of Kingaroy State School, and the wider KSS community, I would like to warmly thank Jason for his hard work and efforts over many years. He will be greatly missed. Rebecca Hall has been appointed as Acting Deputy until the end of Semester 1, 2023.
Staffing changes for Term 4: Brooke Bailey will be on Maternity leave for the duration of Term 4. Sharon Madden will be teaching Prep 1/B. Leanne Montgomery will be working on the school’s Admin Team as a Support Teacher Literacy & Numeracy, Candice Humphreys will be teaching 6M. Chantelle Small will be teaching PE in Term 4.
Parent Requests: From the beginning of Term 4 until the end of Week 4 parents and carers are invited to make an appointment to see myself or Bec Hall (Deputy Principal) if they would like to meet to discuss any class preferences for their child in 2023. Any requests are treated confidentially and whilst every effort is made to accommodate parental requests this is not always possible.
End of Term 3: Friday is the final day of Term 3. I would like to wish our entire school community a safe and relaxing Spring Break. The first day of Term 4 is Tuesday, 4 October.
From the Deputy Principal
Hi everyone. As Masina has said above, I will be taking leave for the remainder of the school year with a view to retiring at the end of the 2022 school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thanks everyone for their support over my 15 years at Kingaroy State School. Whilst teaching and leading a school can at times be challenging, the rewards of seeing the children grow and develop over time far out weigh the challenges. I will finish at Kingaroy State School with very fond memories and look forward to a busy future with my family and a number of projects that I have on the go across the South Burnett. Be kind...

Congratulations Kingaroy State School EKKA award winners.
Kingaroy State Primary School students got busy drawing, printing, writing, crafting, designing and sewing to create their entries for this year’s ‘Education on Show’ competition as part of the Queensland Royal Show or EKKA. The 2022 theme ‘Let it Grow’ had a strong message of without growth, there would be no change. Kingaroy students were delighted to showcase their work to such a large audience. Reports state that, the annual event in Brisbane has been ‘attracting on average 400,000 people.’
